The Almshouses

Almshouses have been part of this country’s life for generations and play a crucial role today in providing accommodation for those in need throughout the UK. They also make a significant contribution to our national heritage in maintaining many fine, ancient buildings.
A small group of local Trustees administer the Shoreham Almshouse Trust, which maintains and manages the 15th century building near the corner of Church Street and Filston Lane. Each unit provides accommodation for a single person. Vacancies are advertised in the Gazette.
